Please see below a release from the British Essential Oils Association received today:

Dear Members

It is with deep regret that I have to advise you with the very sad news that Former BEOA Chairman David Moyler passed away on 31st January 2021 following a very short illness (Non Covid related)

Many of you will remember David, who has served the association in many capacities over the years and was an ever present at our various functions over the years.

David worked for H E Daniel and Fuerst Day Lawson (FDL). David held the office of Chairman of the BEOA during 1996-1998 and again from 2004-2006, as well as being a longstanding member of the BEOA Committee for many years.

Much of that time was spent in the Technical committee and David was responsible for working on and producing the BEOA handbook each year with the rest of the Technical team.

As part of the Technical committee David also worked very closely with IFRA, IOFI and RIFM amongst others for many years, ensuring that our Association was kept up to date with various European bodies and legislation and helping to keep the BEOA Flag flying with those sister associations.

David’s technical understanding of the Essential Oils Industry for both Flavour and Fragrances, his dedication and continued thirst for knowledge were unique qualities that will be sorely missed in the industry and by your association.

David will always be remembered as the perfect gentleman, with an incredible knowledge, always friendly and willing to assist with any issues or concerns.

We are thankful to have had the honour and pleasure to work with David in his various functions and activities.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Paulette and the family at this time.

Vincent Scully
BEOA Chairman
