Starting in synthesis with a passion for molecules and for essential oils/ extracts to flavour creation. For 15 years I have been working as a creative flavourist, always excited and curious to discover new things.

I am on the New Flavourist Editorial sub-committee and contribute to Council matters wherever I can be of value.
For the last 40 plus years I have been involved in the study and use of Essential oils as flavouring ingredients. There is always more to learn.
You can usually find me teaching on the Reading University BSF Flavour Training Course on the section covering natural flavouring materials.

Discovered the industry in 2015 after working as an analytical chemist and studying a degree in Chemistry. Now Technical Manager at Omega Ingredients, as a non-flavourist assosiate member, the BSF offers many opportunities for broadening knowledge through its lecture series and networking.
When I'm not studying for a part-time MBA, I'll be working behind the scenes on the online events the BSF host.

I have spent 30 years working in the food industry. My career has covered all aspects in the food industry from food design, manufacture, technical and commercial management. During this time, I have gained expert knowledge of the European and Global Food Industry and a network of contacts throughout Europe, USA and Russia. I have gained flavour manufacturing experience working for Mastertaste, CHR Hansen and Kerry:Red Arrow. I am the Subject Matter Expert for Smoke & Grill Flavours, organising company training courses for flavourists and food technologists. I have a BSc in Applied Science from TU Dublin and a BA Hons in Leadership and Management from the Open University. I am passionate about coaching, mentoring and life long learning.

A smell-curious Flavour Chemistry PhD student at University of Nottingham. I endeavour to add my intrigued and inquisitive perspective to flavour conversations within the Council. I currently study the aroma of rare Chinese herbs and have previous research experience in olfactory disorders. I am proud to serve on Council and interact with respected flavourists!
